Third TUMO Educational Robotics Workshop by BOGATECH and NOUTEC, Yerevan, Armenia

The third TUMO educational robotics workshop, a collaborative initiative between TUMO Center for Creative Technologies and NOUTEC, proposed a workshop on RoboCup Junior rescue and dance challenges.
The first educational robotics course at TUMO started with 60 students, and today, one year after, there are about 300 students participating in the different workshops. To celebrate this anniversary a very warm party was organized by the students.
In this occasion, 30 advanced students distributed in different groups designed rescue robots to follow a line, negotiate gaps, climb a ramp, turn at intersections and grab a victim. Meanwhile, other groups of students designed 5 robots provided with Android tablets able to react to the colors of 5 computer screens and change them according to the color seen. The robots, programmed with LabVIEW and its vision and motion module, connected to their associated computer via Bluetooth and the computers connected to each robot Android IP camera via WiFi. It was an interesting and very creative exercise between autonomous robots taking decisions by talking to the computers. The choreography of this last project was not finished for the presentation because of lack of time, but the most important problems were solved. Congratulations for the work done in so little time! I hope the students will continue working on the project...
El tercer taller de robòtica educativa TUMO, una iniciativa de col·laboració entre TUMO Center for Creative Technologies i NOUTEC, va proposar un taller basat en els reptes de rescat i dansa de la RoboCup Junior.
El primer curs de robòtica educativa realitzat a TUMO va començar amb 60 estudiants, i avui, un any més tard, hi han uns 300 alumnes participant en diferents tallers. Per celebrar aquest aniversari els alumnes van organitzar una festa molt entranyable.
En aquesta ocasió, 30 alumnes avançats distribuïts en diferents grups van dissenyar robots de rescat per seguir una línia, negociar discontinuïtats, pujar una rampa, girar a les interseccions i agafar una víctima. Al mateix temps, uns altres grups d'estudiants van dissenyar 5 robots equipats amb tablets Android capaços de reaccionar als colors de 5 monitors i canviar-los segons el color visualitzat. Els robots, programats amb LabVIEW i el seu mòdul de visió i moció, es connectaven amb el seu ordinador associat via Bluetooth i els ordinadors es connectaven amb la càmera IP Android de cada robot via WiFi. Va ser un exercici interessant i molt creatiu entre robots autònoms prenent decisions en parlar amb els ordinadors. La coreografia d'aquest últim projecte no es va poder acabar per la presentació per manca de temps, però els problemes més importants es van resoldre. Enhorabona pel treball realitzat en tant poc temps! Espero que els alumnes continuïn treballant en el projecte...
